Sorry about my appearance and all..But I'm from polls and survey, you see...y'all know how we are there..
...Anyways, is it good to shut down my laptop after every use?..Coz I use it like 3 times a day...And if I won't, what's the diff if I use sleep or hibernate...Thanx a lot you guys..sorry about my avatar again...

i have a dell latitude pc, not what u wud call brand new. it will start up as normall but once it starts loading the desk top it will go to this blue screen den restart reall fast and repeat dat until i finally jus turn it off, any ideas on how to fix this?

It's a large flexible white piece (an inch?) that allows the screen to work properly. It's frustrating because although my laptop (COMPAQ) works properly, nothing is displayed on the screen.

1st time i started my brand new laptop up i got this message before xp had even loaded:checking file system C type of file FAT32

one of your disks needs to be checked for consistancy

Also it keeps turning off by its self dont think its over heating as fan isnt on some of the time when it turns off. i have it plugged in mains and says full battery.thisas i have said is new out the box is it major? Many thanks or any help :-(

I want to buy Mac Book Pro in August. But should I wait till October for release of Leopard?
There are several concerns for whether I should wait for Leopard.
1. Is Leopard going to be preinstalled on Mac Book Pros as soon as it is released?
2. Will I get a free upgrade to Leopard if I buy a Mac Book Pro in August? Becuase if it's true, I get a copy of Tiger AND a copy of Leopard.
3. Will the new release have compatibility issue for applications that are already working with Tiger.
4. Is there any other reasons that I probably don't want to upgrade to Leopard as soon as it's released???

Had a slushie on my bed stand last night & woke with it on my laptop keyboard!

It was open because I listen tomy meditation music while sleeping. I washed it off with a damp rag& even used a spray bottle to 'wash' out the keys while it was upside down... Did a bit of praying too.

But keys are sticking and it keeps adding periods to everything.It took a lot of work to even type this.

HELP! What do I do?

seems like the lcd panel on the macbook cannot get brighter. I don't understand. I can barely see the stuff on the screen, but its just to dark.

I've used the function keys, but it doesn't get brighter. I've ran an adapter to a crt and it works fine, just the lcd panel won't light up.

I don't understand macs. please help........................

Ok, I will be getting another laptop, and I am interested in the HP Pavilion dv2000t . I have customized it to be liking, and I would like your opinion. I am going into High School, and I just want a regular laptop, none of that other stuff like way more memory then needed. I know people say more memory for games, and all that.
