With my PC, I often emptied the temp files or internet files, cookies etc. Do you have to do this on a Mac and if so, how?

This depends entirely on what internet server you're using. If you utilize the standard Safari, yes - you'll most likely need to empty the cache and internet history (assuming, of course, your Mac isn't freakishly preset to do so).

If you're going the Firefox or Internet Explorer route (FF is recommended) then it should be less likely that you'll need to worry about these things.

You can set it yourself on all three in a few easy steps: Highlight the server in the top left-hand corner of your screen and hit "Preferences." Then, choose the Privacy tab and customize the cache to your liking.

Hope this helped!

i would not call that a crappy pc, yet you rather have been given ripped off on it. the sole application you suggested employing replaced into minesweeper and a pair video games. so a ways as purposes go, those specs are advantageous, yet with the latest video games that snap shots card won't due. Upgrading picture enjoying cards in laptops are costly, on the grounds that they do no longer seem to be the comparable because of the fact the snap shots enjoying cards in pcs. you would be spending lots (over 4 hundred) for a respectable card plus the provider for somebody to take aside your pc and positioned it in.
