7900GS is the high-end Directx 9 video card while 8600M GT, which i predict, will be low-end directx 10 video card (in the future). Which one should I choose?

Trust me, the difference in performance is almost null(unless you plan to overclock them, in which case the 7900GS will destroy the 8600GT).
Go with the 8600 GT, since it's got the advantage that it's DirectX10 capable. Also, in the future, the 8600GT will probably be better than the 7900GS, since it's drivers are still under development.
