Its a Dell Inspiron 1300/ B130. That was my only computer I'm at my brother's using his desktop to ask this question. Please help

My boyfriend's cost $250 when he did the same thing. There was a big crack in it.

It is hard to say because it can be anything from a part being damaged, the screen needing to be replaced, or it could be something simple like something came unconnected. Check around and see if you can get an estimate on it before committing to getting it fixed.
BTW try the Fn and F8 together trick first to make sure that doesn't fix the problem...it may have accidentally just toggled the display to external monitor.

I did the exact same thing! My parents paid $300, and the problem was my screen cracked or whatever. Everyone was correct anywhere from $250-$400. Good Luck

u will need a new screen. it could cost newhere from $200-$400
