my cdrom is not working.. im using a laptop..

i should working.. i get the same problem couple days ago.. use XP cd or get Vista if you have 1GB RAM and above.. try to use the FAT (quick format).. it works..

If the partition you are wanting to format is NOT the one from which you are running Windows, you can do it from the Control Panel. Click the Administrative Tools, then the Computer Management. Go into the Disk Management section and you can format it from there.

If it is the partition running Windows that you want to format, you will need a boot floppy disk. Go to http:/bootdisk.com and they have several free programs that you can download that will create different bootdisk. Get the Win98 boot disk.

Boot for it Win98 bootdisk, then use the format command to format the partition. Since it is Windows 98, it will automatically format it FAT32 - NTFS is not available in 98.

U select the disk,
then right click the mouse,
then select the format,
then select the file system and U give the NTFS.
