I have no idea which size of hard drive enclosure to use. my hard drive is about 4x6x1 and is an IDE. 3.5 and 2.5 seem too small, but they are really common. Maybe my HD is obsolete and they make them smaller now. IDK. Please help.

two questions for users of the nforce 2 chipset
1)is it really nessecary to use the chipset drivers?,i have only installled the "sm bus" as this dosent come as default in windows
2)secondly,which is the part of the chipset drivers responsible for displaying the agp notification in the nvidia control panel, without the chipset drivers(or part of it) my geforce 7600gt comes up as a p.c.i device, which of couse it isnt

I have an Intellimouse that I bought a few years ago when I had an HP computer. Since I bought a Dell, the mouse has not acted right and has now gotten considerably worse. When you click, it takes it as a double, triple, etc. click, making it nearly impossible to drag & drop songs to itunes and play games. Is it just not compatible with the Dell computer? The mouse that came with the Dell has gotten destroyed so I can't just try it out. Do I need to just give in and buy a new one? The keyboard also has an annoying problem: if I hold down a button to have it continue, it does not; it only types it in the once time. I'm thinking I do not want to buy a Dell again. Any ideas?

I'm completely clueless when it comes to video cards, but I think I need a new one so that I can play some of the newer games available and/or eventually make the switch to Windows Vista.

My computer is a 3 GHz hyper-threaded P4 with 1.5 gigs of RAM. The video card is an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 that came with the computer, and I believe it's a PCI card. I don't want to spend much money, so what card would give me the best bang for my buck? And will a new video card generally speed up games?

What would perform better: One GeForce 8800GTX 768MB or Two SLI'd GeForce 8600GTS 256MB? I know the price difference I'd just like to know which performs better and by how much. Also if you have any suggestions for other GPU's that are in the neighboring price range with good performance please let me know.

I just bought a "Comstar" brand external hard drive, and I've heard people say that it comes with a Seagate HD. However in Device Manager it's named "WDC WD50 xxxxxx USB Device" which leads me to believe it's a Western Digital HD. How do I find out for sure? Thanks.

This sucks.....I have a Dell Dimension e520 and i want to upgrade my video card to the Geforce 8800 GTS, but the thing is huge! It wont fit in my case....is there any model of this card that doesn't have the big fan on it that makes it so big? If so please send me the link.....
If i cant get this card, (which is unlikely that i will get it because i dont think i will find one without the fan on it) i will get the GeForce 8600 GTS.....is this a good card compared to 8800 gts?.......Iol ive found out that it sucks to have a branded computer instead of building one....I just want to play Crysis when it comes out on somewhat high settings!!.....

Thanks a lot

I have a Windows XP (my main one) and an ME and also an NT, all of them in good working order. Is it possible to hook them all up and make them into one big super hard drive? Like, using my XP as the main operating system, but harness the extra space from the other two for super speed and storage? Thanks in advance!
