I can only offer my views on the first question, Brian.

It's not really necessary to use the chipset drivers as Windows loads default drivers of it's own. However, having said that, you may find that updated nForce drivers offer better stability and a few more options in the control panel.

Sorry I couldn't be of any further use.

You should update your graphics drivers from Nvidia.com as often as you can. Each new driver offers improved support and stability. The display for some reason states pci, just ignore this it will not cause you any problems.

Often the drivers shipped with windows are very old and do not have full functions.

I would install the complete lot, I used to have a 7600GT and found that if I kept updating the drivers it didn't cause any problems.

they'll installation the nvidia third occasion IDE drivers which velocity up ide overall performance slightly. additionally they'll incorporate drivers and utilities for any onboard sound that the board has and any nvidia networking contraptions that are onboard. greater importantly, additionally they incorporate the AGP driving force which without you may get undesirable overall performance in video games, the smbus driving force which helps you to recieve motherboard preparation inclusive of cpu temperature and put in aspects, the reminiscence controler driving force and the gart driving force (this impacts 3-D overall performance too). i might recomend which you positioned interior the drivers, the IDE driving force isn't mandatory and that i've got under no circumstances considered a noticable progression from employing it. you additionally can bypass the utilities in case you basically isn't employing them.

since its probably soldered on to the board? you can most probably disable it in the bios IF you have another better gfx card. I have done that with my pc.

as for the control panel for the thing, it's probably included in the startup with the program.

you can disable it if you want, or remove it from the start up bit of the registry, using

tools > startup , and just removing the entry.

if its not causing any problems i wouldn't worry about it, if its not broke don't fix it.
