I use Windows Vista Premium. What do I go into to find out if my computer has a built-in wireless card?

look under network adapters

Call the place you got the computer from. Or you can go into device manager. Right-click on my computer and go to properties. Click on the hardware tab. Click on the device manager button. You should see a list of hardware. The wireless card should be under network adapters. good luck!

There are several ways - one of them - Start/Control Panel/double click System Icon/ click Hardware tab/ click device manager/ look at the list of devices - your wireless card should be there.
I would assume that you are using a laptop - 99% of the laptops sold today are wireless - look on the stickers!!

basscleff told you, you can check the section wireless also, the program able to detect the wireless should work and then you know your wireless is working...
