I am looking at the newspapers and am trying to figure out what laptop i should buy 2marrow. I want something that is going to be fast for what its worth? I see it says intel pentium dual core inside, i dont know what that means. Others laptops say intel centrino duo, core 2 duo. and other say amd turion 64 X2 moblie technology. I dont know what none of that means just wondering if someone can explain it?

hi just got myself a new laptop and gone wireless and also using vista, my broadband is with bt. however my download speeds have gone down to maybe 7 or 8 kb where before i was getting over 200 at times. i have tried different port nos but unsure what all that really means i also tried u torrent and was equally slow is it because i am wireless ? will i have to mess about with settings could anybody please help ? i use zone alarm security suite but dont think its that thankyou jezzyb

I want to get a laptop at a reasonable price. I want it to run at a decent speed with good graphics. But I don't know which kind of laptop I should get!?! that but I would upgrade the ram to 2 gig by buying some more for 30 dollars. But that laptop only has 80 gig and windows vista basic. I've been doing my research, but i'm still not sure.
I don't know the exact name of the model of my imac...

What i know for sure is this.

imac, 17".
Processor: 1.83 GHZ intel core duo
Memory: 512 mb DDR2 SDRAM, speed 667 MHz

I'm confused about the number of pins it should have, and also about the DIMM or SODIMM, i have no idea what those things mean! or which one my imac should have.
Also, i don't knw the difference between PC-3200 and PC2-5300 memory modules... i have read that both are compatible.
