Yes unless you have access to a WiFi signal...like at Star Bucks or at a library....otherwise you can steal your neighbors WiFi signal if it is not secured.
That wouldn't be honest now would it.

Yes, the type or age of the computer does not matter. You have to pay for it in your home unless you take it someplace where there is free Wifi access or your town has contacted for free Wifi access.

All Internet has to be paid for, nothing is for free.
Dial up is a waste of time, and money, Broadband, with a wireless connection is your best bet, but make sure your network is encrypted.

yes you need to pay for internet. It is not free, unless there is an open wireless network in your area. Using someone else's open wifi connection is not illegal but it sure is shady.

If you already have an internet connection that is wireless, there is not a charging fee. One exeption is when you go to some hotels where they charge you to get on.
