There are ways to find out but it involves you going onto his computer. To tell you the truth if you are asking Yahoo Answers for computer help It will take too long to go into depth...

First off- you don't really want to know what he's bought you, do you? You're right that does take the *fun* out of it...

Unless you know of some items he bought on Ebay and do an advanced search for that type of item and then scroll through the bids link and try to narrow his name down by the location or if the name sounds like something he may use...I don't think you're going to have much luck finding out his user-name without hacking into his email.

There has to be times that your watching TV and he sees some ad or even a shopping store ad that he makes a comment on an item...what about sports tickets, or any hobby of his related gift? You can find something for him without knowing what he actually bought you.

Usually I put good-luck at the end of my answer but, I kind of hope you don't find the name and ruin his surprise gift. :)

I believe the only way to do it would be if you knew his account name and his password because then all you would have to do is log in, go under "My Ebay" and click summary, that would show everything that he's bought in the past. You should just pretend that you want to buy something on Ebay, and ask him if you could just use his account, it might work.

Nope, looks like you'll have to resort to snooping thru his laptop. Ebay pretty much locks down on that sort of stuff for security purposes. Other than that, just wait and enjoy the surprise.

if you have access to his E-mail, check that. All purchases on eBay are confirmed by e-mail. I just got two such confirmations yesterday.

awww...you should NOT do this! won't you feel really guilty on xmas when you know what it is and what if you don't like it, you will be mad and try to convince him to buy you something, instead
