deleting viruses help????

okay so yea i need help how do i delete viruses off my computer yes, i have a software that does it but it doesnt really help me :[ but anyways if i go to control panel does it uninstall everything i have on my computer??? or do i lose any programs??? or does it just stay the same please help :]

computer got hacked please help?

my computer got hacked and they disabled everything like windows task manager and the run function in the start menu can some one please explain how to get these things enabled so i can get my computer back to normal
and i am the administrator of the computer (just fyi...i know u have to be the administrator for a lot of this stuff) PLEASE HELP

What OS does the iPhone run?

Apparently Steve Jobs has been possessed by the Bill Gates BS demon.

When asked was operating system the iPhone runs he said OS X. What is OS X on the iPhone. Most sources tell me it is not Mac OS X (as it doesn't run Max OS appliatiosn) and the iPhone is so lame it can't even run iPod games.

So what is iPhone operating system...exactly...Steve are you out there, I can give the pope a call, ask him for an exorcism...I am sure he will help.

Problem connecting to a wireless Linksys router with security enabled?

I've got a new laptop, a HP Pavillion 6000, which I just formatted to get rid of Vista and install XP. For some reason however, I'm unable to connect to my wireless router on this laptop. All other laptops in my household can connect fine.

I use both MAC Filtering and a WPA Shared key (AES). When I disable the key (leaving MAC filtering), the laptop can connect, as can all the others. When I re-enable it though, the laptop can't connect anymore, though the others connect fine. It is prompted for the network key, but even after entering it, the connection doesn't progress at all (ipconfig reports media disconnected).

The router is a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) mini - build 3932 installed as a replacement firmware.

Any suggestions at all would be appreciated as to why this laptop is unable to connect to the router when the password is enabled.

Internet History?

I want to know what sites my lil brothers going on cuz i know he goes to some fake hacking sites and it gives me alot of viruses and i ask him not to go but i have no proof if hes going or not.

Can u tell me how to check the day and the time he went?

How do you know your fellow eBay bidder is not some lacky driving up the price?

Cooler question?

I've already ordered my cooler master geminii and fans, but I'm wondering when I install if I should lay my case down horizontally rather than have it stand like I do now. I don't want to run the risk of damaging my mobo, and if I laid it down I could put a rubber pad behind it if it bended, but if it's upright I would have to find a way to support it from the top of the case if I get uncomfortable. My case is strong enough, but I payed good money for my 680i SE, but I also like my vertical configuration.

Windows XP Computer - Constantly Checking Hard Drive?

I am running Windows XP. Everytime I restart my computer the system requires that I go through an error-checking of my primary hard drive. I ran the error check on the system and it found nothing. Then next time I start up the computer again, it requires the error check again.

On a related note, the system refuses to accept a keystroke from my USB keyboard. I now have to keep an old PS/2 style keyboard to abort the error checks.

Any thoughts on what I can do?

Need serious, expert techs for this question... think you can figure it out?

The other day I was using my laptop, an HP, 3 years old, running XP Pro. It froze, I rebooted, and got a black & white message screen saying "sorry to interrupt but we're protecting Windows from running as it seems there is a problem..." etc etc. I could choose from "Run normal," "Run last known good date," "Run safe mode" and something else. None of them worked. I reboot, get the HP screen, get the Windows XP screen, then it kicks me back to the error message. I call HP, on the phone for one hour with the tech, we run a hard drive test, all come back complete. Try to run using the WinXP disk, nothing. Try to reinstall op sys, nothing.
HP is sending me a box to mail it to them to fix as its under warranty.

Today I take it to a PC repair guy. He pops out the hard drive and usb cables it to his PC. His PC reboots. Try again, it reboots again. He said he's never seen that happen in his life. What the F is wrong with my laptop/hard drive?????
