How to set up a home network between 2 computers using cable... these pcs are linked to a wireless router individually...
but need to share files between 2 pcs ....

I have a small corner desk for my PC as I am quite limited for space in my house, I also have a printer but nowhere to store it.
Does anyone know if it would be ok to store the tower on it's side so that I can place the printer on top of it?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 with 2GB of memory and the ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 video card. I know it probably wont play perfect but it is stuttering to much and I was wondering if I can improve that? It played one day pretty good but I dont know what I did to it so I know it can play somewhat on my computer. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Several train companies in the UK (and elsewhere I presume) now offer wireless internet on board.

I regularly use the internet on board GNER trains, and although it is very slow and regularly disconnects it is still useful.

I am curious to know how the moving train is able to connect to the internet? Does it involve some kind of satellite connection, or the mobile phone network, or is the signal sent down the overheard power lines?

on the windows xp loading screen when u open ur pc the blue bars that move freezes after a few seconds and never continue so the pc freezez i tried the windows xp cd and i recoverd it but it is still the same then when we moved to another house the computer started working for a few days then it happened again can acccses safe mode it works.

I need to extend by 802.11b Netgear WiFi router to the signal can reach my living room on the other side of my "Faraday cage" of an apartment. The signal from my WiFi router almost reaches but it's quite strong enough for consistent Internet connection.

I assume adding a WiFi signal repeater and pluging it in half way between the two rooms is the solution. I'm mainly going to be using the signal for a Xbox 360 and my laptop.

Are there any "gotchas" about using repeaters for WiFi? Any models that are recommended by folks here?

I signed up with the Network Solutions Pro Ecommerce package for my new webstore and I am in the designing phase, but I have no idea how the wysiwyg tool works. I know that it is suppose to function like Microsoft Word, but I have only used Word for simple letter writing, not designing. I am totally lost. Can anyone explain how to import graphics like photos or point me to a site that has instructions? I would like to design the header and add some photos, but don't have a clue. Help!

My hard drive was blown out by my internal power supply going out. Also did a job on my mouse. I have always had a green light on the front of my computer but nobody seems to know what the red light is. It just appeared after I got my computer back from the shop.

- Recently I just bought a video card which is a Inno3d GeForce FX 5500 and already installed it already to the computer. After how many days of installing the latest driver for Nvidia, when I tried to play games . . I experience a problem wherein the game will just show the introduction but when it came my turn to play already the game . . . the screen goes blank and nothing happen and sometimes it will just restart the pc. When you put a 'close window' button within a webpage, you get the message 'The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window' is there any way to do the HTML so that you don't get this prompt or is it an ie setting.

Hi there, Im trying to find out how to use word wrap on a paragraph of text. Im working from a Basic Computing Workbook and Im now totally stuck, cant find word wrap anywhere on the menus. I have tried the help facility on Word and the net, with no joy.

My mum has emailed me some pics that I want to post on the net but she's scanned them onto her computer using powerpoint & sent them to me, when I try to open them it says I need powerpoint, I don't know much about computers, how do I get these pics open or save them as jpegs???!!!
