Ever since my computer crashed and I had to reinstall my windows operating system on my dell computer, my speakers are not working. looks like the drivers are not installed. can someone walk me through this please?

just tried to open a sellers account on ebay , using my card, but error message is coming up saying - unable to process information,please contact customer support.
does anyone know why this is,my card is fine i have called my bank to confirm.

I have the quick launch bar up, but the icon that takes you to the desktop when you have multiple screens open is gone. That is the icon I want back. I have gone into properties for the quick launch tool bar and can't find it anywhere.

I am going to buy a MAC notebook for school, because switiching between my parents PC, and there laptop is too difficult because all my files are on different computers. Being a high school student, I use word, powerpoint, and excel. I was wondering if I have to buy software for that, or if it is already on the computer. Also, do I have to buy software for Photo Booth?

For example, if I have Shaw lite speed internet (256kbps download) and I connect my laptop to the internet using the wireless router, would the internet speed I experience on the laptop be any different if I had Shaw high speed (5mbps) or Xtreme speed (10mbps)?
I know there would be differences for the computer connected to the modem/router directly by cable, but would there be any difference in the wireless connections?

I have an old 80GB external USB Western Digital hard drive. I can peek in through the vent to read "Enhanced IDE Hard Drive."

I just acquired a used 250GB Maxtor ATA/133 hard drive.

I don't know a whole lot about the compatibility. Will the new drive effortlessly replace the old in the same enclosure? In other words, will the existing cabling system in the enclosure match the "new" 250GB drive connector?

Okay, so a little background, and then I'll describe what my computer is doing. I have a pop-up blocker, and I've had it for a long time. I have NEVER had a problem with it, and I've had it for as long as I've had the computer (almost four years, to the day).
All of a sudden, yesterday morning, I started getting pop-ups, and they're always from the same places. Every time I open Yahoo Messenger, or any web page, I get pop-ups. I've gone into my internet options to see if the pop-up blocker is still turned on, and it is.
I've done virus scans and scans for worms, and it keeps coming up with more Trojan viruses; I heal them, do another scan, and they come back. I don't know what to do. My computer is barely functioning. What else can I do?
Oh, and the virus protection I have is AVG. Do I need to maybe get a firewall up? Or something? I'm completely clueless when it comes to this stuff. Will add details if needs be.

I have TrendMicro PC-cillin Antivirus for my computer. I bought it legitimately from Best Buy about a year ago, and it's now expired. I want to update my software, but I didn't register my product when I first got it--I just installed it and used it without registering.
I can re-register and buy a new product, but I need the "License key" to do that.
I have the serial number and the original package I bought it all in, but I have NO CLUE what the license key is!!

Can someone PLEASE help me??? Where do I look and what kind of number is it??

I have a Motorola RAZR and I know my "unlock" code but I have no idea what my "security" code is and I'm pretty sure I never set it. I mean, I remember setting my "unlock" code but the "Security" one is obviously a different code and I've tried everything that I would've set it to be and it's nothing of the kind. For web development, I test IE on local files.

I've tried and tried to get IE to trust local files without displaying that danged "ActiveX blocked" thingie at the top of each page!

I don't want to disable security altogether!

I tried "setting intranet to low security" and that ain't it

. I can't figure out one of their "wildcard" patterns for a "special local zone. The Help file says, as usual, to "Contact your network administrator." Yup, that's me, and I keep talking to myself, but nobody's home.

Can someone puhleeze help?
