Hello :)

As far as I know, Internet Explorer is a critical part of MS Windows and Windows does not work properly without its presence (even if it's not your default browser).

However, give this a try and you may achieve what you want:

Go to Control Panel, and then to Add/Remove Programs. On the left bar, there's a button that reads Add/Remove Windows Components. In the new window that pops up, find Internet Explorer in the list and uncheck it. Click Next and let Windows reconfigure itself.

Hope this works for you :)

Cheers,
Arash

You can remove IE from the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs Icon
Go to the Windows Components section and uncheck IE. Click the OK and it will be removed.

Go back and reclick it and IE 6 will be (re)installed on your computer. If you want the current version, IE 7, you will have to go to Microsoft.com and run the update after IE6 has been reinstalled.
