I have an old Dell Latitude LM166ST that I would love to upgrade. Is it possible to change the processor? Can I change the CD-ROM drive to a rewritable one? If so, how do I and where would I get the parts.

I bought a new computer and when I went to change the way that users log on and off I got this message--- "Client services for netware has disabled the welcome screen and fast switching, to restore these features you must uninstall client services for netware". I tried looking in control panel to uninstall that but I didn't find it there. Could someone please tell me how to get my welcome screen and fast switching features running again.

i recently bought 1 gig of ram and when i just installed it by itself, my monitor fails to turn on. I checked my monitor and it is not my monitor nor is it my video card. Yet when i switch back to my old ram, everything works. I dont get it.

i am trying to install xubuntu in an old laptop computer. it has a cd drive. i was able to install win98 using a win95 boot floppy and typing R:\>setup.exe what do i type to run the xubuntu cd? or do i use a special floppy, if so where can i download it?

hi, a while ago i used to have some sort of speeding up program that i found on google. It was either a trial or freeware. After i had used it on my computer and restarted, as soon as i logged in it loaded up instantly and i could use it straight away without waiting a minute. Anyone know of such program? I didnt have any program loading up anyway but it loaded up instantly instead of like 20 secs.

...everytime i google a topic, it shows the results (or links), but when i click on one, it takes me to ebay. so i've been just copying then pasting the link to my address bar, but i shouldn't have to. anyone know if theres a setting i could chang or anything like that to stop my cpu from jumping st8 to ebay? thanks

I can't seem to find anything that says firewire in the documentation. I asked Dell in an email and they were no help? What do I look for--does it have another name? I need a firewire port to hook up my Canon Video cam to my computer to use pnnacle video editing for my son.Helllp!!!!!
