I installed norton antivirus 2003 edition in my system and updated it thru internet. but after updating, now the norton antivirus is not loading when windows starts and also the automatic protection is not getting on , even though i click it enable,it stays the same and the same problem with email scanner too. even though i tried several ways, the problem still persists, pls can anyone be specific and help me out

I just bought Dell XPS with VISTA Premium. It seems to be slower and my son does not like it.It came with VISTA backup CD. Is it OK to downgrade to XP for now and upgrade to VISTA later using the backup VISTA cd.

I am using dual screen - laptop screen a big desktop screen. I work a lot on Excel. When I open up two excel files at the same time, they stay on the same screen, I mean I can minimize them and look at them that way, but I want to find a way to move one excel file onto the other screen, and one screen stays on the laptop - but excel won't let me do that...Any ideas? or anyone know how to bypass that so I can have 1 excel file showing up on one complete screen, and another excel file showing up on the big desktop screen. I am using MS Excel 2003 SP 2

Hi. I have a domain name, but much to my surprise this is not a website, so I think I now heed somebody who will host my webname to give me a site - is this right???? If so, is there any way I can put my domain name on a different web host to the one that provides the name - cos I think it's a bit of a bugger to have to pay once for the name and then again for a website. Is this right - or have I completely misunderstood how it all works!

I am getting a new laptop, and I have the choice of getting it with either XP professional or MCE 2005. I have heard that MCE has all the features of pro, but with the added media center features, so I figured it would be best to get MCE.

I then noticed that the specs for MCE were much heigher than that of home or pro. will this mean my performance will be affected during general use of the laptop, or only when using the media center features???

at first write into run "cmd"
when ms dos command prompt open then i type
ipconfig/flushdns - its works properly

next when type ipconfig/release - it show a message

"windows ip configaration
The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation."

how could i will success this operation ipconfig/release
and solve the adapter problems

My husband is always saying how slow our computer is always running.I think it runs average.He says he can be on and use his work computer in three X the amount of time it takes to even get on the home PC.It seems logical to me to believe that a work computer would be built different,(faster,and able to hold more technical material)than a laymans PC.His lap top holds much technical material, whereas the home PC hold s minor homebased work.Our home computer is slower than his,but i believe they were both built different and for different reasons.Also the home PC holds 4 users for our family and his laptop uses only one.I think these are reasonable assumptions,but Im not sure I'm right.He always thinks there is something wrong with our home computer.I argue that it's fine just different from his.
