I am using dual screen - laptop screen a big desktop screen. I work a lot on Excel. When I open up two excel files at the same time, they stay on the same screen, I mean I can minimize them and look at them that way, but I want to find a way to move one excel file onto the other screen, and one screen stays on the laptop - but excel won't let me do that...Any ideas? or anyone know how to bypass that so I can have 1 excel file showing up on one complete screen, and another excel file showing up on the big desktop screen. I am using MS Excel 2003 SP 2

Multiple files all open up in one Excel application. You will have to start multiple instances of Excel to be able to view two files at the same time in different windows.
Open the first file. Start Excel using the Start-menu. Open the second file from Excel. Send the second Excel window to your other screen.

if you already have excel open and where you want it screen wise, you should be able run excel in 2 seperate programs as long as you launch it from the start menu. (as UdovdM said)

you can watch two different sessions at time. I recommend you to perform the following steps to see different session

1.Right click on empty area of desktop
2.Select properties
3.Select Setting tab from Menu.
4.Select Display as Multiple monitor and Check Extend my desktop to external monitor.
5.Click Apply

Now Open any application and drag the application towards to your right untill you can see it on the external monitor. Now you can open another application on the notebook.
