when we first upgraded from Me to xp professional every thing was fine and working well.
But the next day when we truned on the computer it was in a completely different lanuague and we couldn't do any thing. Because we could not read nothing
could not even turn the computer off so we had to use the pictures in the book so we could see where we could trun of the computer,
Because at the time we were on dail-up and we rang up to get some help. But they couldn't help
it wasn't until the next day my husband put the disk back in the computer and did the whole thing over agian did it worked.
has this ever happened to you .?

I'm trying to create an effect in Flash that I saw in Paint.NET - if you select Layers->Adjustments->Levels and then move the 'Input' Slider down, the picture gets 'brighter' and seems to almost glow. I need to recreate that effect in Flash, and I'd rather not brute force it. This is for a personal website, by the hey - a buddy of mine has specifically requested that partiucular efffect for the Flash intro to his band's webpage that I'm working on.

Please do not tell me to use the brightness controls in Flash, as that does not produce the desired effect. Any questions about the question, lemme know and I'll try to clarify. Many thanks to any and all who provide assistance!

Can get on internet at work but they have a block on system that block's out every site you really want to be on, including sites like yahoo & game sites like pogo. Is there a way to override the block? When you try to get on a blocked site a box comes up that says access denied, you can then click for further options but can only override with a username & password which I don't have?

I tried to boot XP but it won't boot up, it won't even go to safe mode. When I selected Last Known Config or anything it says that "Window\system32\config\system" is corrupt or something, I'm wondering how I can fix that without formatting my whole drive. how frustrating is this?? try and guess where your mouse pointer is --to try and even get to this box was a *****! but my favorites column is uneffected by it and the task bar also. but as soon as i get into the window of where i am at, esp. when i am on the internet its all a big guessing game. and i use the tab for more frustration, yes. something is up and i wanna get to the bottom of it. some software crap is doing this??? or what ?/ / help
