I downloaded it into a compressed folder, if that makes it worse, from the net. But I don't know what to do to get it working.

uncompress the file and copy it to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts . This should do the trick!

Uncompress it First. It may be winZIP or winRAR. If you don't have any of them go to www.download.com. WinRAR is suggested, coz it can open any type of compressed folder.
Then Copy all the font files from it.
Goto Start>Control Panel>Fonts("if you can't see fonts folder, click on 'switch to classic view on the left'). And now, paste all the font files into this folder.
Now you can use fonts in any programme you want. Voila!

Why would that make it bad or "worse"?
Just do what the first answerer said. It should work. I f you don't see it appear right away in the font menu of whatever program your using, close that program and open it again.

right click on the file and "unzip" then go to your start menu and click on "control panel" then click on "fonts" which should be under "appreances and themes" then when the font page is open click on "file" and "install new file" then locate your file and click "ok" you're done! :)
