you have to talk to it and let it know that the other owner wont be coming around anymore. let it down easy, not too hard. give it time to take in this information. when it feels it is comfortable to begin a new life with a new owner, it will come to you. dont force it, you will only ruin your chances.

Are u trying to change Computer Name?
Right-Click My Computer > Properties > Computer Name > under Computer Description - type in your preferred name > Click Ok.

what you trying to do register the pc in ur name right hit my computer hit on properties > hit on computer name remove. previous owner.name type in urs hit apply > ok
