trying to download a song, but it only downloads a couple of bytes, then stops. Anyone know why this is and/or can help me fix it?

I lend brother my Windows XP to re-install, I tell him to register under my name. Instead he forgets and tries to register under his name and Microsoft rejects his effort. DId he ruin my Windows CD/Serial Number relationship with Microsoft by what he mistakingly attempted to do?

i was trying to make my letters on my screen bigger,because they had gooten smaller when i printed something. So i went to display properties (settings)custom to make letters bigger.now they are too big. And when i tried to change them back,
i can't reach down to click apply ,because it's out of screen.And i can't pull the screen up any higher.
Also tried changing screeen resolution (to make smaller) but still can't reach down far enough to click apply or ok. HELP PLEASE!!!!

does anyone know any place i can learn and practice free programming? what language is the easiest? what should i do first? ive never programmed on anything else than my calculator, but that was just a bunch of "if" and "ifend" commands, nothing complicated, it just made formulas easier, as i can program it to ask for the variables and inpit them, like "V1?>A|A+3" type of commands, i want to learn, so a free compiler or something, a good website with some free content would be nice

advent t12 xp home edition is what i have. Tried system restore, but have same problem. windows takes a few mins to load up as well. very slow.

I have been adding information into a Microsoft Excel worksheet for the last few days. A couple of days ago i saved the information as usual, the next day i went to open it and it won't open. :-(
Excel opens but the work area is just grey, all the tool bars and everything else is there.
When i open the worksheet i saved in Word i can see the info i have been saving, so its all still there it just won't open.
Any ideas why?

I recently started having a problem in Windows 2000 Pro. I can't open MyDocs or Control Panel. Also, I can't open Windows Explorer when I right click Start Menu. It sounds like problem with announcement by MS of update messing with HP and NVidia, but I installed latest updates and still can't open.

Computer was working okay when I shut down, but when I rebooted the next day I got no video. I changed monitors, installed a working PCI graphics card, replaced RAM, removed battery (to reset BIOS) . . . but nothing helped. I've lost onboard video in other computers but was able to install a PCI card to get it back. I have some experience with general computer repair but not with mobo problems. I assume my mobo may be bad, but how do I know for sure? And why did it go so fast?

We were able to do this with IE6 simply by right clicking the icon and clicking on appearance, then choosing a custom icon. With IE 7, you go through the steps by nothing happens. Does anybody have a fix for this?
