We are looking to create a customisable virtual robot which can reflect a users personality. The thinking is that this would be interesting for people who could then use the coding to display the robot on their own web pages e.g. MySpace, Yahoo360 etc

I think I would rather have a robot that complimented my personality rather than reflected it. I don't think a goofy, stubbon, sometimes insecure female robot would do anybody much good.

For maybe the best robot story ever written, see "The Proud Robot", by Robert Sheckley. Too, too funny. Also, "Can You Feel Anything When I Do This?" Of course Asimov's robots were the best. Especially Daneel Olivaw. Virtual robot? Any decent 3d ap with animation would work. You could create and sell them. Probably need some level of AI to get 'em to work, though. What I want to see is someone come up with is an application so that I can converse with my computer. Hold a conversation. It can read me news stories while I'm doing something else. I can ask it questions. It will greet me by name when I enter the room. That would be cool. And freaky. Work on it.
