I have a HP Compaq Presario ( 1 yr old ) and its CD/DVD drive stopped working. The Device Manager states "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)". The "Troubleshooter" says that it can't solve this problem. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it ! Thank you.... Ray

I just downloaded it last night, but I went to the Symantec website to check to see what it said about it and it said, "at this time, do not download". I want to know if they fixed the problem and if not, do I need to go back to IE 6?

I am already signed into yahoo mail and everytime i go to my mail box it tells me to verify my password and when i do it just keeps going back to the same page. how do i fix this does it have something to do with me using fire fox?

Somehow or other, I downloaded something called PC Registry Cleaner onto my computer, to fix a problem. Of course, they said it was "free" so I'm a sucker, and now they want my credit card number before they will exit from my computer. It shows up every time I go to my Yahoo page and it is really ticking me off! If I give them my credit card number (they want security code, too) how do I know I won't be ripped off? Buyer beware! (Who can I report this VERY unethical behavior to, and get quick results?)

Does any one know how to get on internet sites on your cell?
There is a web site called IYHY.com that changes any web site to a web site you can be readable by phone, but it doesn't say how to get the web site on your phone. Does anyone know how i can get it there?

okay i have a relitive she but i pc and is usaly having trouble and wants help,,,she knows how to use a pc but not that good and she always needs help and going over her house is to much trouble....now i have cable internet and she has aol and i use aim to comunicate with her but that is not help enough...and i want to control her pc so i can help her so please is there a prgoram that lets you do that ,,,,i dont know her ip adress and she odesnt even know how to pull it up so please is there a program to control her pc ....thanks!

Last night I had to take my pc back to factory settings to rectify a major problem and had to re-install Windows XP. Now Im trying to download files (even ones from Microsoft.com) and its only downloading half and doesnt go anyfurther - in other words when the downloading wizard is in the middle of the screen, you can see the sheet of paper flying from one folder to the other, but nothing is happening - its halts itself when it saves or downloads half the file and doesnt download the final portion. I have done windows updates for XP etc, so I dont know if Im missing certain Service Packs or something?

Ive also installed all the system discs that came with the computer also - so I havent left anything off that I shouldnt have (but obviously something isnt right somewhere) - please please help!

I just got a new mac. I transfered all my files from PC to Mac. Both laptops have 60gb of memory. In my Compaq, I have over 30 gb of free storage, while in my mac I only have a bit less than 25gb. Why? If I have almost the same file. What can I do to improve my storage in my mac? By the way, it is a MacBook with Intel.
