Hi Sally...you need to download a freeware called Ypops: http://ypopsemail.com/ to forward your Yahoo emails to your Mac Mail application otherwise you would be required to pay for the Yahoo Plus email account feature to do this as well.

No i did no longer get this e mail and that's surly a primitive way from an novice Hacker to have your password. be conscious that yahoo (as an e mail service) is committed via regulation to maintain and shop each and all the consumers archives (besides the fact that it incredibly is right or no longer ) and returned it up. From yet another hand each and every time we log in yahoo, we deliver ( interior the path of the log form ) to yahoo archives base our PW and e mail handle which captured and in comparison with the information which yahoo has and below his administration. If for besides the fact that reason yahoo has lost this archives (your e mail and password), you will no longer have the flexibility to log in P&S and submit this question :-) Be shop

By application, do you mean something like Thunderbird?
Yahoo mail, unless paid, doesn't allow POP access. This may be the problem.
Gmail does allow pop access... and it's free too.
