Doing this in Java. I want to search a string to see if it contains single quote marks. If it does I want them taken out. If not, I want the string left alone. I have tried using StringTokenizer but I am runninginto a problem if the string does not contain single quote " ' ". Please be verbouse on the answer make it clear ..I am stupid.

I get from 40 to 75 junk e-mails every day. I am tired of this. Span protection doesn't help. In my current account I have many folders with saved e-mails. I want to change my e-mail address to eliminate this junk. Will I keep my same account with the folders I have set up? If not, what should I do? If I keep the same account, is there anything I should do to maintain my currest set-up?

I think I basically know the answer to this (wrong type of cable for job), but I would like a few details.
We're running wire in our office and the boss purchased "Vertical Riser Cat5e." And I've noticed that basically unless the cable is 10 feet or under and completely straight, it gets no data through it.
I guess my questions are:

1. Is this the wrong wire to be throwing around an office (90 degree angles, etc)?

2. What is the correct Cat5e for general cabling? (About 100 feet between switch and 'pute, but must be able to take corners)

3. What is a vertical riser cable meant to be used for if it is so finnicky?

I need to know if u need an instalation disk to use a replaced cd drive. I'm thinking of taking out my cd rom drive and replacing it with a dvd romdrive from another computer. do i need an instalation disk to do that.(to switch the two drives). Hardware experts let me kno.

A demo of a little video game. I have no familiarity with these tools, but did graduate with a degree in computer science so I know what coding is. Is this question asking me to literally write out the entire demo? Would writing it in flash code somehow be a lot easier and short than, say, in Java? Should I just fess up for this question (which is for a cell phone game development company, although I am applying for a position in the Q&A dept), admitting I am not familiar with these utilities?

I was actually thinking about developing an Artificial Wife program or something similar for when I get into a university and would be required to do a senior project. Anyway, I was just curious to know if ANYONE knew of projects like this that were already started, or perhaps finished already.

I'm hoping to get out some type of prototype, then eventually have have an actual "robot" body to run my program in, that way there will actually BE someone for everyone. Anyway, I was thinking of doing it in Java.

Any helpful hints, links, tips, or tricks would be helpful.

I am using Toshiba A45-S150. I made some display setting changes. After that my task bar went out of visible screen area. I can see my mouse is going below the visible are on bottom and right side of the screen. Can anyone tell me how to make Vertical and horizontal screen hight changes. I am struggling with it.

I am going to design 5 new web sites to put on the internet. I am curious what content people would like to see on them. I don't think I'm smart enough to set up a forum or anything like that, so they would mostly just be informational sites about certain topics with pictures, text, and maybe some animations / diagrams, etc . Okay, so I was kicked off ebay for 'being associated with a suspended user', no idea what they are talking about. I've tried emailing, etc. I never get an answer. It's been a few months. I need to get back on because that was my income! So, this isn't right of them.
Anyways, I recently got a brand new computer...so it would have a different IP address than my old computer (w/ the suspended name). Will they be able to know it's me? If they see that IP, will there be a note next to it with my home address or name or anything? Would they be able to find out it was me?
