it wont play - im pressing play and its going onto the song but its just not starting.....iv tried pause and unpause and choosing a different song - nothing will work

Strange, did you try to restart the computer? If that doesn't work uninstall itunes and reinstall. This should get it working.

i read an issue in a computer mag that itunes had bugs and you have to download the new version try it it cant hurt

install it again
go to contol panel then add and remove programs and get rid of itunes then download it again or update it i hope this helps

Its most likely that the song has been moved to another directoy on your HDD..
