I was actually thinking about developing an Artificial Wife program or something similar for when I get into a university and would be required to do a senior project. Anyway, I was just curious to know if ANYONE knew of projects like this that were already started, or perhaps finished already.
I'm hoping to get out some type of prototype, then eventually have have an actual "robot" body to run my program in, that way there will actually BE someone for everyone. Anyway, I was thinking of doing it in Java.
Any helpful hints, links, tips, or tricks would be helpful.

For the Yahoo mod that gave me a previous violation on this subject, the question(s) again are
1)Are there any projects like this that you know of that were started?
2)Would you give me some helpful advice if you could?

No I can't get a real woman, but I will do my best to make my program better than a real woman.

Hmmm...
I don't know such a thing would be possible. Sure, one could write the code, but how would it run?
The program...
-will consume all of your RAM and then ask for more.
-Will prompt you why you haven't run it everyday if you take a couple days away from the PC
-Will prompt you "are you sure....yes no cancel" but the button you press will be incorrect no matter what
-Will start wanting little java popup's even if you are using protection (popup blocker)
-Will ask why you are paying more attention to WoW then her
-Will uninstall WoW
-Will freeze for no apparent reason (even more than normal microsoft freezes)
-Will erase your hard drive if another woman touches the keyboard
You are better off running software from Cyberdyne Systems.

If you think you can write a program that's better than a woman, then you really should get out more. Women are so much better than _any_ code - and I LOVE code!...
I think I saw something on TV recently about some expo with these new Japanese robot people... memory is not good though. Anyways, if anyone is working on this, it'll be the Japanese - there seems to be a big thing for domestic robots there.
Hints? Give up coding for a year and try dating...
