If you hold down the Alt key and type in 171 using the numbers key on the right hand side of the keyboard you will get ½ , 172 = ¼ so on and so forth. so how do I get the percent symbol

Whenever I switch on my laptop, it takes a lot more time than normal to load all the start-up items. The under-process icon (hourglass) remains on the screen for a long time and up till then, whatever programme i try to start, it takes a lot of time to initialize. After some time, a window (device installation wizard) appears on the screen stating that the device has been installed. There is no device mentioned in the wizard. After I click on O K, the PC starts functioning normally. After that it is normal until the next time I start up again. What is this? What is the device that has been installed according to the wizard.

has anyone done the above ...if so i would like to know a) the name of the driver you used and b) how you installed it
i am trying to install it on a compaq armada running windows 98,if i can install the pcmcia cable driver then i can use all the other pcmcia devices i have
the problem is i cant seem to find the correct pcmcia cable driver
any ideas

I used to make my own fonts with some graphics program.. I thought it was Corel Draw but I can't that option in Corel 9.. was it in an older version? or is it in another graphics editing program like Harvard Graphics or Serif's Drawplus?

my 13 yr old son went on a site or did something and went I got home from work I was greeted with the blue windows STOP screen. I have Linex Suse on the same puter and can go into it and exist just fine, internet and such.... BUT I need to get into widows to do some work from home. Can anyone help me?

The Blue creen tells me to go to Windows and check my drives but it won't let me go into Windows.

I have been trying out opera and there are somethings I was wondering about adblocking. I use firefox a lot and my favorite extensions
are the adblock https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/10/ and Adblock Filterset.G Updater https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/

They do a very good job of blocking adverts and I was wondering if there was anything I could do for opera.

See the thing is:

My son and I were in an awful accident on May 18 2002. This young girl lost control of her car, crossed the median, and hit me straight on going 65 miles per hour. Some how, some way my son and I survived, although this girl did not. She died on contact. Her mother sent me a letter and picture shortly after. I would like to have contact woth her mother and father and meet them someday. When all this went down I was in such pain and highly medicated, therefore I lost the envelope the letter was sent on. Now I have no address. What I have is the deceased girls name, a rough idea of her age, the state she lived in before college, the state she lived in where she went to college, who she was insured by"car", and her father's name. Can anyone help? I have tried with no success offf and on for years. I need a computer guru!!!!!!!!
