Computers & Internet - 3 October 2006

Need software or code to launch a live webcast on my website. Anyone have any ideas on how i would go about this? I don't want to have to use another website, i would like for everything to go through my website.

I want to broadcast a few hours every week. I would like for users of my website to be able to login and view the live webcast. I will be using a webcam.

We recently moved out to the country and we have a satelite for our high speed internet. I knew how to hook up the router before , when we lived in town. But now it is more complicated because of the line that comes from the satelite into our house and plugged into the computer. It has some other plug-in thingy that connects the satelite cable to an ethernet cable then into our computer ethernet slot. Does anyone know how to get our wireless internet to work, including connecting our router without messing up our main internet line? PLEASE SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!

When I go to remove it a dialog box pops up that says," This program removes Avg free edition from your computer" And also it says select yes to remove or select no to exit. I'm a little confused about this little box that says :


"Remove user settings" and another little box that says " Including objects in the virus vault"

The first box is already checked automatically. I NEED TO KNOW IF I SHOULD CHECK THE SECOND BOX TOO. I'M AFRAID OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I DO OR DON'T. Like will the viruses it's holding in there release back into my computer or will they disappear. Should I check the box or not???

Can anyone advise me on what kind of computor setup I should buy. I know very little about them, but I'd like to download family pictures and send them to my brother( also in color), and continue to answer questions, and do research on my own home computor.also, print out sheets. I have 2 computers and i want to use the same monitor, keyboard & mouse for both of them. I've seen the thing before, but i don't know what they are called. It's like a splitter that plugs in 1 keyboard mouse & monitor to 2 computers and lets you switch your diplay between the 2.

Well i had Norton Antivirus and one day i updated my yahoo toolbar and it installed Nortons Internet Security but now the subscription expired and im not protected against newly discovered viruses, so i was wondering if i went to Add/Remove programs and uninstalled Norton Internet Security, would it uninstall my old Norton Antivirus that i had before the internet security? Cause i dont wanna risk uninstalling Norton Internet Security and that it would uninstall my norton antivirus and being left without any protectio, i would really appreciate anyones help, thx.

Ok. if u read my q&a u can see that I accidentally got the z lob trojan on my computer and it further explains about this guy in a chat room. I am kind of frightened bc when I chatted with this guy, he seems to be really good in computers. He also made frequent statements how yahoo did not want to make him mad or he would do something really bad. This is really concerning me bc I finally got the infection off of my computer but I have been recieving frequent phone calls, and when I answer it there is no one there. I know u guys might think I am paranoid, but this guy has said several of color things to me such as. "Your worries are" and when if I tie u up i might not ever untie u again. He has also very guarded about his life. Could someone please help me. Is it really possible to stalked and abducted over the interenet if u did not give him ur location?

I've resently got an old powermac G3 266mhz (beige type). It has mac os 10.2. I know that I can upgrade the cpu(not interested yet), ram, video, and hard drive. My question is can I remove the EIDE hard drive and just install a different EIDE Hard Drive, or do I need to invest in a controler card? If I don't need a controler card, how big of a hard drive can I install? I want to use this machine for mainly music station. I wil be doing base office work and some gamming (emulators). However, I am interested in using it as a DV(digital video) station as well. Can you tell me if this unit is good for DV as well, and will it handle a DVD burner?
