If you are useing a Windows OS - Right click on your My Computer icon on your desktop then choose Properties, The new Window that opens click the tab marked General at the bottom of that window will be a listing of your computers processor speed and available Memory.

RAM is "Random Access Memory" it's only a chip that decide the speed of ur computer. It will not get decrased if you use ur computer or u save loads of files on ur PC. It will remain exactly the same as u have earlier

This isn't exactly the answer to the question you asked, but you're aware that if you click the start button, go to programs, go to system tools, and then click on "disk space" you'll have the opportunity to click on any or all drives you're interested and see how much space is left on each?

If your taling about memory, then RIGHT-CLICK on My Computer>>Properties. That should shout the amount of memory you have on your machine.

just go to start..run..type in...dxdiag...when new window opens..u will see ram
