liteon cd rw, & dvd rw, nero 6 but cannot burn on either, can play cd or dvd, nero says burn sucessful but not

Question

Liteon DVD RW LDW 411s and Liteon cd rom LTN526 with updated drivers. I have justinstalled Nero 6, when trying to burn everything seems to be ok, Burn successful but nothing on Datwrite CD R disc.

Liteon DVD RW LDW 411s were manufactured in September 2003.

I don't know why you would need to update drivers if you are using XP. It is a 4X speed writer. Maybe the discs aren't compatible.

If you want to burn a DVD, then you need to buy some DVD R discs. Also, some old DVD players don't play copies so try using a different DVD player or on DVDR player to play the copied movie.

I have a liteon also,It is a 16X DVD+R+RW DRIVE
DVD+/-RDL (Double Layer)
I always use DVD-RW are CD-RW and have had no problems.But with the DVD+RW and the CD+RW.I have problems.So try the DVD-RW and the CD-RW.They will most likly work.

Hi, have you tried burning to different brands of disk? dvd & or Cd. My similar prob with lite-on, was getting "power callibration error" & unsuccesful burns. My solution was to download from the lite-on website, the updated 'Firmware' for my dvd rw. After updating the firmware, i have had no probs :) Dunno if this might help!? failing this, (or b4 you start) try a google search with your particular problem! Good Luck...

may be cd spoided .. try with an new one ..

it sounds like the mechanism in your cd burner is weak...get a new cd burner

why dont you find out what disc it works with then there might be stuff on there
