Computers & Internet - 3 October 2006

I have Norton and ran Live Update and Full System Scan. This virus is not on their list. Norton asked if I meant W32Myzor.FK@if. I told them "No".

I emailed Norton yesterday asking how to remove it. No reply yet.

Meanwhile, I keep getting the Security Screen and the pop-up about the virus, instead of Yahoo. They're trying to sell me "anti everything" software. Sometimes I can get Yahoo by typing the address. The computer is slower with the virus. Google shows nothing on it.

Should I uninstall Norton, and try AVG or some other free software? Could that virus be buried in the hard drive? I'm open to suggestions. HELP!!

I'm sure I got the virus on Yahoo answers when I clicked a website in an answer. That's the last time I'll do that!

I have two toolbars. One of them is the yahoo toolbar and I understand how to delete that search. But on my address toolbar to the right of the address is a toolbar with the search that says "Search the Web"....I tried going to tools internet options and deleted the files etc....and it didn't work. I wonder if i clarify if I'll get the needed help!

i was on weather.com and it says zip code 21702 is 79 degrees and on my email website, www.inbox.com, it says the same location is 63 degrees. how weird.

Sometimes my computer has a wobbly for no good reason and then when you try to type in " a @ appears and vice versa. When this happens the computer behaves as if I am a stranger and I can't get my desktop, only a very basic default. Using system restore solves the problem.
But why the changeover between " and @?
