I've always had this problem, is their some way i can speed up my mac internet? I know i have at least 312kbs on my wireless internet, but my mac (which is directly plugged into the wireless router) is so slow, it took me 10 seconds to load this page! Do i have some kind of the firewall or somthing that i didn't turn off?

when i start up my computer, the homepage has changed from yahoo to some bogus internet security software site. and pop ups area lways coming up on my computer. ive scanned my computer many times but have found nothing. this also shows up too as a warning pop up and i can get rid of it. http://malwarewipe.com/?rid=247. how do i get these things off my computer?

I am currently attempring to build my own gaming PC for around $1200. I need my PC to play all the high end games currently out and play those games with the graphics turned fairly high up. Right now I am trying to decide between two PC processors,

My question is, will the more expensive processor really make that much of a difference? All I want to do is play high end games with high levels of graphics at the cheapest price possible.

will it slow down the computer speed.

As you know whenever we download some new programme, an icon of the same appears on the task bar for starting that programme. Some one has told me that if I have so many these icons on the task bar, it will slow down the speed.

Is it correct? If so, whether there is a manner to remove the icons from there but ensuring that the programme is not uninstalled? And in such case, how can I access that programme?
