when i start up my computer, the homepage has changed from yahoo to some bogus internet security software site. and pop ups area lways coming up on my computer. ive scanned my computer many times but have found nothing. this also shows up too as a warning pop up and i can get rid of it. http://malwarewipe.com/?rid=247. how do i get these things off my computer?

try housecall.trendmicro.com to clean your system.

Also, download the free personal version of adaware at www.lavasoftusa.com and clean your system of more adware after trend micro's housecall is finished

Software that tends to Hijack your browsers web connections to do their own purposes. They will change your homepage to another homepage no matter how many times you change it or you can do a search in Google, but instead of getting the results back from Google, your search request is actually hijacked and sent to another search engine.

What are you using to scan it with? I suggest on of these three, if not all three...
Spybot search and destroy 1.4,
Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06
Windows defender Beta 2.

AND SWITCH TO FIREFOX. Get it from Mozilla.com. When you install it, choose not to import any setting from internet explorer, then never use internet explorer again,
