Hey, One fine day, my pc sounds were gone. Not speakers' fault. So I tried system restoring, restore failed on all check points. I system restored on safe mode. It worked. Now its back again as normal. Can u tell me wat was the problem? I scanned for viruses,using AVG ,not found, No spywares either. Why did my sounds stop working and again started on doing system restore???

I am an artist, and I sell some of my work to people to in other states. They have to send check or cash to me, which is not safe and I hate having to wait for snail mail to get my money. I have a paypal account, but I don't know if or how I can take payments from my customers through paypal with out selling something on ebay. Does anyone know if this is possoble, and how to go about doing it. I would love a way to offer online payments to my customers, but I can't afford to pay for some fancy account somewhere.

I use Firefox.I have a website that looks real good when using Firefox but when I click on the site with IE the images are in the wrong place and some of the text is garbled.Is there a way to make it look good using both browsers?I am just concerned about my website visitors.

can't see 'a' drive on 'my computer', device manager reports all devices working correctly, can hear drive initialise on power up but no green light. help and support centre doesn't help - reports all ok. ribbon cable and power cable changed but no change - this is a mitsumi drive restarting computer doesn't work either.

I cannot change the Read-only attribute of a folder by using the Properties dialog box for the folder. I uncheck it, click on "apply", then "OK"and then close the file. When I re open it, the "read only" attribute is still checked. I've tried to google that and even windows support website couldn't help me. Thanks

I am running windows xp. and I when I try to start up in safe mode, it crashes again. It shows a blue screen that tells me to try to start in safe mode. And it just keeps doing this over and over again. What can I do to repair widows so I dont loose any files?

I have thie older computer, it used to run very slow. It had a 10G hard drive, 256 MB ram, not sure about the processor. Anyway, I upgraded the hard drive to a 120G, put a CD-RW and DVD-ROM drive in, and also put several other new things in. Also added Windows XP, it had 2000. It took almost 2 days to install windows, and right now, it takes sooo long to do anything. Whats the deal?

I would like to upload to my High School site that lets you put up a current photo (the last one was 1970), but when I do upload the picture it takes up more than the entire screen --you have to scroll full across and down to zero in on my face, and then it's so big you can't see my whole face on the screen.
