I am stumped! I am talking about when you open a command window, then type FTP. The regular DOS commands don't work and the rmdir command from FTP keeps returning directory isn't empty.

my harddrive was wiped on my laptop and now will not play dvds,,it says i need a dvd decoder,,how do i get 1,,my laptop is an ergo microlite,,it always played dvds before and im at a loss now as to what to do,,can i download a dvd drive or decoder,,please help if u can,,thanks,

i have written a book in my handwriting .i want to get this converted into typewriting by some software. can i use a scanner also ? is this possible ? the sole purpose is this that i do not want to rewrite all the material on key-board which i have already written in my hand writing.

I can't recall downloading it, and when I click on the application it offers to uninstall it. However, I don't know if it will cause problems for my computer. Additionally, there are two text files called lxbu and lxbuscan in the C: drive, which I think may have something to do with the application. There is also another text file with information about when this application was supposedly installed, being more or less the day I got the computer.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what this application is, and if it's safe to remove it. Any help is appreciated!!

I need to make a book-type thing using Microsoft Word. I need it to type two columns, and I need it to type with the sheet turned horizontally. Is there a way I can do that? Or is there a way to do that with Open Office?

Anyone know of how to make a div (I guess it's a div) draggable like on google maps? Don't need to make the content update on the fly as the div is populated but I'd like to be able to move the content around inside a div.

see, i love downloading lots of stuff in sims, i dnt seem to stop it, nways tht's not the problem,all this downloaded items are where they should be, in sims2 downloads, except for the game modifications, i haven't added any.. my sims2 while going to a house seems to work even though iv got tons of cloths, makeup,sims,n everythn else, but wen i add alot of ojects n build objects, i click on the lot enter it,but i'll be in the downloading state (u know what i mean, the blue backgrouds, and the downloading bars on top) this is so hard to explain, iv tryed othr sims sites 4 help, but nothing worked..the point is, i cnt get into the lot, it takes so damn long, iv waited 4 30 min. but it is still in the downloading state, ds any1 knows how to fix this problem..
