My computer isn't working. My brother is suposed to fix it, but I don't know when and I want it fix now. Ok here is the problem.....When it starts up it goes to this black page that says windows didn't start successfully and other stuff. It gives options to pick...like safe mode, start windows normally, and 3 other ones. But no natter which one I pick it just restarts again. Does anyone know how I can fix it? Or even what the problem is?

I am a retired 47y/o paramedic embarking on a career in technology. Completed one semester in Computer/Software Support Specialist with a 3.68 GPA. Everyone advises me to enter their program ie: webmaster, networking, programming, computer repair. I may only have a shot at 2 years of college so I want to make it count. I want to easily find employment, know enough to operate my own business if necessary, I like hands-on things but also am intriegued by design, e-commerce. My math skills are average but I am above average in comprehension/reading. What would you suggest?

I can't play my 3gpp2 files on RealPlayer.
It's supposed to be able to play it, my version is new enough and is probly the newest one.

It can play other files fine just not the 3gpp2.
This is what it says every time i try to play a 3gpp2 file:
Cannot start playback

There is also a button titled "More Info"
when i click it, it says:

Cannot start playback.

You are attempting to start playback while the playback engine is busy with another function. You will not be able to initiate playback until the other action is stopped or completed. Attempting to play by clicking on a file or link while converting media format, transferring to device, or burning a CD is a common way to cause this warning. This warning will not affect the current process and is only in place to explain why playback did not occur.

If ur gonna recommend another 3gpp2 player, don't recommend QuickTime.

OK i got a new hard drive (with some stuff on it)and i set it as slave abd my other one is XP home .its a compaq 2002.IDE hard drives.

well my BIOS dected the new hard drive as Master secondary . but when i start up xp it does not show up on ym computer.like C: it doesnt not show up. how do i ADD it do i can access it? i set the BIOS to auto then to HardDisk but still it doesnt show up.but my PC knows its there , how do i name or addd it ?

Anybody have any suggestions on a program to remove this critter.

I have run Adaware, Spybot, and MS Defender and nothing helps.
I did a search and it took me to a Mcafee site, but Winfixer is not a virus...Correct.

I remove a program from the add/remove option which i thought I successfully done. Then the saw the said program from the program files folder so i deleted the folder, hoping to have more free bites space. But the program is still there in the add/remove option so again i tried to remove it but this time I got an error message "unable to locate the installation log file". So i copy the entry program since i can't reinstall it but still get another error message. And i can't use the restore system point cause i already done a disk cleanup. What would I do so i can reinstall this program again and made it work again?

i burn my data cds as multisession discs with nero software. so sometimes if a new session is burned, it comes as a different volume... if its in windows 98 and if nero is installed, we can access the different volumes by goin to CD properties..

but when my OS is xp,there is no option to view multiple volumes of a cd . xp just shows the last burn session 's data only.... is there any software which can be used to get all the different volumes of a cd, while working in windows xp: or is there any method to view multivolumes
please help.........

I am using php, mysql and ajax. when a user registers the data is saved dynamically using ajax. There seem to be a problem. Suppose you type password with special characters example abc123&234

only "abc123" is received by php on the server. How do i escape this string in javascript and unescape it in php.
