Defrag, clear temp files and cookies. Dump any software YOU LOADED that you no longer use. (Do not Dump Windows Files).
Empty recycle bin, shut down, reboot.

Webroots Window Washer does a great job.
By coincidence I installed it this morning and ran the cleanup. I was shocked that it removed over 1 GB of unnecessary files. It gave me plenty of options to control the cleanup.
It costs $20 and you get support.

you can do manually but for that you must be thorough with the registry. you can delete the program file manually and same time go the registry and delete all the entries by searching with keywords of the software
