If you have emptied your Recycle Bin, you are done.

Next time, MAKE A CD of your precious pictues, as soon as you have copied the to your computer from your camera. This time it was your mistake. Next time, it will be because your computer died. (You never know when that will happen, so BACK UP immediately).

System Restore only restores the system state. That means it does not restore files you deleted. I see this mistake more than you can imagnine. And it is often someone who is trying to help giving bad advice.

Check the Recycle Bin. If you haven't emptied it they should be there. It is possible that you used software that deleted them without putting them in there, and that would be a real good reason not to use that software.

If you really can't find them, you need to get some type of data recovery software (Like GetDataBack- http://english.p30world.com/archives/001380.php) and run it. Make sure you use the version that matches your file system.

It should be able to recover some of the stuff, but with all you have done it probably won't get it all.

Explanation: When you delete something and empty the trash it doesn't really delete it, just marks the space as usable again. Eventually it will get overwritten. The more you move things around and do anything that writes to the drive, the bigger the chance that you overwrote the data. Ideally you want to do nothing on that drive. I make boot-able Cd's that can read the hard drive and recover data. This is best, because just using the computer causes it to write to the system drive. Installing the software obviously will write to it too.

If the photos are really important, you might want to turn it off and get a pro to do it for you. They will charge rather they can recover the data or not since they go through the same process no matter.

Dont worry, u can get them back. Using system restore will not work as you know, since it only restores system changes, not user files. I recommend a program Called "Restoration", its s free file undelete utility. You can download it here:
www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html
when u run it, type in to the search the file extension of the pictures, such as .JPG, .PNG or whatever they are saved as.
They might appear. I also recommend that you dont save any other documents or make any changes to the computer until u restore these files through "Restoration" as files are only completely deleted from the hard drive when something else takes their place on the disc.

because of the fact the saying is going, "people who fail to verify from heritage are doomed to repeat it." yet how will human beings even have the prospect to verify from heritage if this is been rewritten/hidden/obliterated? ironically that's additionally Holocaust Remembrance week. A time after we could desire to continuously a take a 2d to recollect those painful instructions so as that "in no way lower back." isn't purely some empty promise. heritage is packed with grotesque information. a number of our terrific achievements have been equipped on the backs of the decrease than-privileged, the enslaved, the conquered and the massacred. this is not heritage's activity to decide or perhaps examine the previous, yet in elementary terms to tell. This notion in Kentucky threatens that.

If you have not emptied your recycle bin they should be in there.
Highlight them and right click and RESTORE.

if the are not in there you will have to get a un delete program like R-Studio (not free) REMEMBER this. the more you use your computer the more difficult it will be to restore the files if you have actually deleted them.... take care of it now.
do not Defrag your hard drive, do not delete anything else until you get the problem solved.

Purchase an undelete program, such as eData's Unerase program. It's relatively inexpensive and can find any file on your hard drive that's been deleted, unless you've used a secure wipe program to clean your disk.

IT SAYS THAT PICASA WON'T DELETE OR UPLOAD PICTURES WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. HAVE YOU THOROUGHLY EXAMINED THE INSTRUCTION OR FAQ?

I WOULDN'T USE THE COMPUTER UNTIL YOU FIND A SOLUTION. THE PHOTOS ARE STILL THERE UNTIL THEY'RE OVERWRITTEN BY THE COMPUTER, AS NEEDED.
