When my girlfriend tries to log into her internet based email (hotmail, yahoo, etc....any secure site basically) it goes to the "Cannot Find Server" screen. Other sites show up.

I told her to adjust her cookies. She says thats not it.

What should she do, since I could be (and she's like to think I am) wrong?

when i try 2 download something from the internet using firefox, it asks me where 2 save the file. i don't want to save it , i want 2 download it like i would w/ internet explorer. is there anything can do?

I just signed up for YouTube, got the confirmation email, clicked the link in the email, and it just took me to the login screen. There, I type in my username and password, but it says that that username doesn't exist. I try to sign up again and it says that that username is taken! I can't get in!

I did log out of youtube before I opened the confirmation email, and this could have messed it up, but there has to be a way to log in anyway, right? I don;t want to have to make another account.

Ok. We have wirelss internet. On my laptop the wirelss card says its going @ 54 mbps with Very Good strength (sometiems as low as 36 mbps with low strength but usually its good) the web pages ar downloading slow and i tried downloading and it was so slow! like 4 kbps....i htopught maybe it was my wirelss card beign retarded but i went to our main computer and oit says its gong @ 100 mbps speed but the download speed is just as low and its going slow too... plz help

what i want to do particularly is:
1. at 2am open excel document, and refresh data, save document
2. open outlook, and either attach document, or cut/paste info from above
3. email to my manager, so he has the info in his email when he gets to work in the morning.
4. do this once a week.

Because I Tryed To Save In my pictures and then pick what pictureiwant to post (by the way this is for the http//www.blackeyedpeas.com i want to post one of my photoshop made pictures in the gallery) but it wont work because the picture is cut in half in my pictures and it says on the blackeyedpeas.com Your image will be automatically resized and the thumbnails will be generated. But then it says when i click upload it says Unable to create the thumbnail image(s) so can someone help me

All of a sudden, when I click on "compose" in Yahoo Mail, I cannot get a text box with the color and graphics toolbar. In contacting Yahoo, I am told to go into General Preferences and swith to "plain text only" which does give me a text box, but I would rather have the color and graphics text box. Does anyone know what would cause this and how to restore this feature?

ok, i recently built a new computer. it has an AsRock dual-sata II mobo, 2 gbs of patriot mem(cas 2), an amd athlon 3000+, hiper red 580watt psu, asus geforce 6600, hitachi 80gb sata hard drive, dvd drive, cd burner, floppy drive, 2 80mm vantec tornadoes, 2 80mm aerocool x-blasters, , one UV cathode, a red led side fan, couple LED's on the front, and a standard 56k modem. i dont know if the hard drive is sata I or sata II, but i figured it wont cause this problem. when i plug everything in and hit the power button, the lights just flash, like its trying to power everything, but it wont start up. im 99% sure nothing's plugged in wrong, cuz i went through every wire like 10 times. Long story short, brand new everything, hooked up right, wont start. id really like some help with this, thanks in advance!

I have installed the drivers and everything like that, and I can get sound to play through the speakers, but the microphone is only heard through the speakers, and not through the computer...either in a chat or using voice recorder. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRICIATED....THANX!!!

I login to a bunch of different hosts via NIS and my /home/me is on a mounted nfs file system and in there is my .profile where my PATH=$PATH lives . If I want certain directories to be included included in my path only when I login to a particular system - what do I need to do? Or should I just add add all the paths I might want for all the systems I log into in that .profile?

Ok so I am glad enough that I can actually use this!! I have this virus and one of the programs is called "command"... when I try to uninstall it, it sends me to another webpage which tells me to install some program onto my PC if I want to remove anything. Another virus I have is Zedo. How can I get rid of it?!?!

If I try to remove my cd-rom, my computer tells me when it's "safe" to remove it, so it is definitly recognizing the cd-rom. However, I can't play any cd's and when I go to "My Computer" and click on the Compact Disc drive, it tells me to insert a disc, even though a disc is in there. I am computer hardware illiterate, so please answer with easily understood terminology. Thanks!
