I have installed the drivers and everything like that, and I can get sound to play through the speakers, but the microphone is only heard through the speakers, and not through the computer...either in a chat or using voice recorder. ANY IDEAS WOULD BE APPRICIATED....THANX!!!

Have you upgraded everything on your machine? When you reformat, windows itself needs upgrading plus media player, etc. If you don't do that, your machine will revert back to when you first had the machine and if it's even a few years old, many things change and won't work if they're not updated. One other thing, in order to reformat correctly, you need to unplug everything except your computer and monitor or the formatting could get messed up. It happened to me.

does your mic come with a sofeware to install first, if so u must install that first, most mics dont require that but just check
try unpluggin your speaker and insert the mic's jack exactly where u jacked the speakers into the comp
should work
