I just signed up for YouTube, got the confirmation email, clicked the link in the email, and it just took me to the login screen. There, I type in my username and password, but it says that that username doesn't exist. I try to sign up again and it says that that username is taken! I can't get in!
I did log out of youtube before I opened the confirmation email, and this could have messed it up, but there has to be a way to log in anyway, right? I don;t want to have to make another account.

It make take a short while for your account to be recognized but once signed up you do have an account, try logging in again, being careful to use the same password and ID.
Very important:
Make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser preferences. If you have cookies disabled, there is no way for their system to know you were at the site before, and you will be asked to login as if you had no account.

i think you should check ur email they send ur password and username to it
