Ok, I admit to being a computer moron (relatively speaking). I own a Dell that someone sold me, and I want to buy more memory than I have. Is it a card I put in (I have done some minor things, like put in a new CD-ROM and C-drive, so I am not THAT much a moron). What info do I need to go buy the memory, and how do I get it?

While I am browsing, most often the IE displays the message"can't connect to the server " though the LAN connection icon is present in the task bar and can't disable, or I can't shutdown my windows. How to resolve this problem?

I plugged the printer, already attached to my computer, up again It had previously been out of colored ink. Well I added ink cart. and followed directions as to what to do, got as far as printing a test page, from there thats all it will print is test page over and over. Ive got all things set right, such as, # of pages to print- 1,and all that, have even went through troubleshoot, went back and was sure it was still installed, had it to the point where i checked the box of the pictures i wanted printed, and all that and clicked print. it appeared to be print those pictures then, but each time its still the test page, even after i cancelled it from printing? PLEASE HELP, I really dont want to chunk my printer out the door!!!! : >

I would like the movie to have the smallest possible file size. What are the possibilities? I wouldn't like to buy an expensive software to do it. Does anyone know a free- or shareware for this purpose?

My mobo is a MSI 945P Neo. I wanna put a sata harddisk and an ide harddisk together in a cpu. I could find the 4 pin cable from the psu to the harddisk but I can't find the long yellow slot for the harddisk from the mobo.

Last week It just started not letting me open internet explorer, or my yahoo mail, from my start menu, or my desktop. I have to go into" my comp." then to" favorites" to get my mail or to go anywhere else from there. Anyonyone have any idea what could have happened to cause this? Thanks

I get really bad pop up windows, for example I could leave my computer for 10 minutes and come back with around 20 pop ups, I have a pop up blocker, but I was curious if anyone had an amazingly good one they could recommend.
