While I am browsing, most often the IE displays the message"can't connect to the server " though the LAN connection icon is present in the task bar and can't disable, or I can't shutdown my windows. How to resolve this problem?

There will be problems when u are connected to both your internal network and also trying to connect to the internet via bsnl. Your IE settings might conflict. Just configure your proxy settings manually to continue browsing via your LAN.

I think the problem is with the Server @port where ur LAN is connected.
Tell them to change ur port.
