Zone Alarm, or Norton and McAfee all have good Firewalls that stop most aggressive pop-up threats then it is easy for the tools to do the rest, I use Windows Defender on my Microsoft Vista machine and on my XP box I use Norton's Internet Security 2006, AdAware, SpyBot Search and Destroy, along with Yahoo and Google, FireFox if I really have to go somewhere safe and it has gotten a pop-up before so it is not immune. But using all of these techniques the other day I had to go look for pop-ups just to see if everything was working it had been so long since I have seen a pop-up. ;-)
