Ok, I admit to being a computer moron (relatively speaking). I own a Dell that someone sold me, and I want to buy more memory than I have. Is it a card I put in (I have done some minor things, like put in a new CD-ROM and C-drive, so I am not THAT much a moron). What info do I need to go buy the memory, and how do I get it?

Yes, it's just a stick you stick into the motherboard. You can buy it from Dell, but it will be grossly overpriced I'm sure. Try Crucial...they have a memory selector that will tell you exactly what you need.

Go to UpgradeMemory.com and choose the model of your computer and they will tell you which memory to buy. Also grab a free shipping coupon for them at http://www.007coupons.com/Computers/UpgradeMemory-com-Coupons/

if you're talking about ram, then yeah it's kinda like a card. you can get it on ebay for about $50. if you're talking about memory, like a hard drive, then you can also get it on ebay, for about $1 per GB.
