always when i start the computer the,,,, C:WINDOWS\system32 appear open ,,,,itried going to start,,,,run,,,,msconfig,,,,and uncheking some boxes but it dont solve nothing,,,,,when it happen i just close clicking the X on the right corner of the screen,,,,it alwats happen when i start the computer

Just set up my linksys wireless router. got everything setup, no problem. I can connect to the internet on the computer its set to, plus on my laptop using wireless, great. but when i log on to my router, go to wireless security, select wep, set a 5 character password and generate a key and save the settings, i cant connect using my laptop. it asks for the password and when i type it in, nothing happens. whats the problem?

i currently have windows 98 second edition and would settle for just the upgrade, but i want to find it cheaper than the 99 bucks walmart sells it for.

I'm trying to save a single website (one that scrolls vertically in the browser for several page heights) into a single JPG image. Here is an example:

The only way I know to do this is to painstakingly take several screenshots and merge the images in Photoshop. This is way too cumbersome.

I saw a private email of mine forwarded and printed out at someone's house. I suspect they logged into my hotmail account somehow, and forwarded private emails to their Yahoo mail account. On the bottom of the yahoo mail are letters/Inbox and a number as well as a date. Anyone know what all that means?>

I have had all sorts of advise, but nothing seems to work. I am starting to think that it's just my pc. It starts tuning and show a connection status and then poof!! error error error. I have tried to run mplayer2, going to options, and then settings. I have a choice of three different streams, like http. still nothing. I just starting having this problem, like this week.

I forgot the BIOS password on my laptop and can't access anything. I have tried the keydisk, and the parallel loopback key but it doesn't work. If I could boot a floppy at startup, I could flash the BIOS. F12 is the keystroke to select boot devices, but as soon as I press this, it asks for the password again. Does anyone know how to get around this so I can boot from a floppy and use my computer?

Okay, my g/f just got internet with a cable modem. Her roommate is connected with automatic DHCP, but my g/f's computer won't connect to the modem, either directly or through a router. I connected to my Mac to troubleshoot, and it said that it couldn't connect due to a self assigned IP address. I have tried looking at the settings that the computer that connects, and couldn't find anything different, but i could be missing something because I am a Mac guy and used to things being a lot simpler.

Hello,
Some users from my company had meddle with one of the computers while I was out of the office for a short while.
Is there anyway to determine which users (from domain) had logged on to the computer while i was away? Or is there anyway to generate a list of users that had logged on to the computer during the time i was away?
By the way, the computer is running on Win XP Pro.

Whenever I am uploading a picture from my computer onto an internet site, the pictures are always displayed as thumbnails. I can switch it to display the files as a list, but I have to change the display option each time I open a download window, and I'm sick of it. I want the default setting for my upload menu to be on "list", not "thumbnail," but I don’t know how to execute this change.

I have a PC, and my operating system is Windows XP.
