a serious answer: there are so many levels of technology, at so many levels of development, during so many years of maturity, that even the best of us ask those stupid questions.

Those that do could truely be that stupid, use sites like this just for entertainment, go online just to stir up trouble (like trolls in a chatroom) thinking it will make them a bad @ss. Most of the stupid questions come from youth or teenagers with no life and have nothing better to do.

That was a wasted question, don't you think. If you are lucky enough to get 10 answers to your question, you're lucky if you'll get one that tries to give you a serious answer to your question. Most are sarcastic and flippant, but to tell you the truth, questions like yours deserve it. Instead of asking why stupid people ask stupid questions, why don't you think of a real good intelligent question to ask and maybe you will get some real good intelligent responses. No guarantees of course, that will happen, but it's worth a try.
