I bought a used computer with Windows 2000 Professional on it. I do not have the operating system disks for this program---I believe that it is a nonpirated version as I bought the machine from State Surplus. I'm unable to get the internet to work on this pc. Upon startup the following message appears: "Windows-Unable to load device driver" \SystemRoot\System 32\DRIVERS\ipsec.sys device driver could not be located.Error status was Oxc0000032 I have a copy of Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade which I thought that I could install as a new copy. When I try to install it I get a message telling me that the Windows 2000 is hot upgradable to Windows XP. I also have a copy of Windows 98 which I believe is upgradeable to Windows XP. I want to get Windows XP installed. How can I upgrade what I have or clear the hard drive so that I can install either Windows XP or Windows 98 of which I do have the disks for both programs.

I'm stalling windows xp pro sp1 on a PIII, 333Mhz, 32MB video, 40G HD. The first part was successful with the blue screen: the HD formatting, copying of windows files but when the pc RESTARTS to continue with the 2nd part of installation the message 'error loading operating system' appears, then it stops there, the GUI installation never continue, I tested the HD with other PCs and it's ok. Does the pc needs the original OEM CD because previously it has XP installed, I just can't find its original XP cd, i'm re-installing with different cd XP. Better yet, what are other causes?

Especially when making an online transaction,because to the best of my knowledge almost all spyware and adware softwares can log key strokes,so by copy paste (from a saved text or any other file of course) can one avoid compromising valuable information like credit card numbers?

~~~we pay double for internet service so we could have cable fast "Cheeta" which is suppose to be 20 times faster than dial up.
About two hours ago,,I deleted temp internet files,,,cookies,,,history,,,and defragmented,,,still,,,it takes at least 30 to 60 seconds or more to get to where I want to go,,,when I click enter, or search ,,ext,,,,I know 30-60 seconds isnt long,,,but if were paying twice as much to go twice as fast,,,do I need to do more in my computer,,,,We have only had the computer about two months,,,Its an HP with 512MB , 200GB ,, 820 Intel Pentium ~~~
I would appreciate any imput,,,,,~~~~

Okay, I am looking for a free webhost, right now, I am using www.50megs.com but they have installed ads, and I don't like that. I need to be able to use my domain name, or, if any of you wanna offer some really cheap hosting, like...as cheap as www.mher.org but much easier to use than cPanel. I tried www.110mb.com, but they are being stupid about the phone number, I have no clue what format to put it in, it doesn't take very many formats....yeah, idk...

I don't understand why people keep hacking into other peoples computers. It just doesn't seem fair to be blackmailed by some asshole. Some body please help me keep my e-mail safe. I have lost about 5 e-mail address and this time I was just a little smarter than this fool.

Random passwords don't work to make the situation stop. Somebody please give me some advice on this. This guy makes up many different names and stuff and he can come online and talk to me with one of my old yahoo id's. It is just getting ridiculous because I shouldn't have to be subject to this kind of behavior and no one else should be either. Why isn't yahoo protecting our accounts better than this? I am in total confusion.

Any answer or help would be greatly appreciated.

I am intent on buying a 5 PC lot (4 will be used) of computers for studying domains (they will be networked) and I want to have them on a KVM switch to allow for USB Keyboard and Mouse (possibly 1-2 other devices) and a VGA LCD monitor. I have a desk and PC's all ready for me. I'd like to spend less than $200 on this component as I will need a switch also.

Because I've heard that the faster the Upload, the faster the dowload. Sorry if I got this completely wrong, I'm new to all of this. The Seeds say 22(74) and the Peers say 74 (411). Any advice on how I can get this to download pretty fast? My dowload speed right now is about 10kb per second. Please Resond, thanks!!
